Examining the Development of Sihong's Automotive and Motorcycle Parts Industry Through Zhang Xue's Motorcycle Championship Victory
Recently, Zhangxue Motorcycle secured double-round victories at the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) Portugal Round with an advantage of 3.685 seconds, marking a historic breakthrough for Chinese motorcycle manufacturers in WSBK events and reaching the top podium of a world-class event for the first time. This achievement, reflecting the transformation of China's motorcycle industry from large to strong, has garnered significant nationwide attention for the industry.
Looking back at Sihong, our county has been deeply involved in the automotive and motorcycle parts industry for over 30 years, evolving from scratch and from weak to strong. We have cultivated the automotive and motorcycle components industry into a key advantageous industry for the entire city, successively attracting over 300 automotive and motorcycle component manufacturing enterprises to settle in Sihong. Over 60 national high-tech enterprises have been established, and the product range exceeds 100,000 categories. This has gradually led to the formation of a comprehensive vehicle component system for automobiles, focusing on four major parts: driving systems, cooling systems, braking systems, and electrical equipment; and a core component system for motorcycles, including precision core castings, electronic and electrical instruments, brake system assemblies, key engine components, and wheel hub, tire, and shock absorption systems. Sihong has thus become an influential automotive and motorcycle component production base nationwide.
The company was established in 2021, invested in and built by Zhejiang Libang Hexin Intelligent Braking Co., Ltd., a national intelligent manufacturing pilot demonstration enterprise and one of Zhejiang Province's top 50 industrial enterprises. The company primarily produces automotive and motorcycle braking systems and aluminum alloy casting products. It possesses the capability for large-scale development and production of integrated braking systems for fuel vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, and new energy vehicles, making it a global leader in integrated braking systems. It is a long-term partner of internationally renowned motorcycle enterprises such as Zongshen, Wuyang-Honda, China Qingqi Group, Xin Dazhou, and Ninebot. In 2025, the enterprise will acquire additional land and make significant investments in Sihong, substantially expanding its production and R&D scale in Sihong.
